Berna joined Yellow Bird in Sweden in 2007 where she was involved in several of the company’s most prestigious international productions including Stieg Larsson’s acclaimed Millennium Trilogy and Jo Nesbø’s Occupied. In 2014 she became Chief Creative Officer, heading up the acquisition of all new projects as well as overseeing the development of the company’s entire slate. In 2018 she opened the Yellow Bird UK office in London as Creative Director to produce high-end drama primarily for the UK and international markets. Recent projects include the police drama Young Wallander (Netflix), based on the Kurt Wallander detective series of novels by Henning Mankell and the drama The Playlist (Netflix), based on the non-fiction novel Spotify Untold by Sven Carlsson and Jonas Leijonhufvud. Berna started her career at BelAir Entertainment at Warner Brothers followed by Tiger Hill Productions at Sony with the legendary filmmaker John Woo. She then worked at Tollin/Robbins Productions where she rose quickly through the ranks and worked on several of TRP’s most successful film and television projects.

Sally joined Yellow Bird UK in June 2022 and works across the slate on both development and production. She started her career in literary agencies and worked as an executive assistant before moving into scripted development. As a development executive at Red Arrow Studios, she notably worked on the first and second series of Vienna Blood (Endor Productions, BBC/ORF/ZDF) and is credited as an Associate Producer on the second series. Prior to starting at Yellow Bird, she was freelancing as a development consultant for Gub Neal’s Ringside Studios and Silver Salt Films. She also helps to run The Brit List alongside Alexandra Arlango and regularly guest lectures and mentors students at Bournemouth University’s scriptwriting degree.
Nimai joined Yellow Bird UK in August 2022, joining the team as Development Executive. He joined the team after working at David Heyman's company, Heyday Television, where he worked as personal assistant to the president, assisting during the company's growth and expansion into the US, before progressing to become development assistant. While there, Nimai supported the development of Heyday's slate, generating ideas for new projects and actively scouting for new material and voices working on projects including IF, THEN (Apple TV US), and THE CAPTURE (BBC One/Peacock).
Seamus joined Yellow Bird in 2022 as Development Assistant. He previously worked in TV and film production and freelanced across a number of HETV projects including Bodyguard (BBCOne), Afterlife (Netflix) and Danny Boy (BBCTwo), and the feature films The Roads Not Taken (Dir: Sally Potter) and Blackbird (Dir: Roger Michell). He was part of the production team of the Yellow Bird UK and Netflix crime drama series Young Wallander, working on both seasons one and two of the show, before moving career into development and joining the Yellow Bird UK team full time.
